UK FRINGE REVIEW

“This production is a warning to humanity about today’s digital age and chillingly the one that inexorably will follow. Any piece of art should have the audience leave with more than they entered the room with. Super Connected definitely succeeds : it is a hugely significant piece of work, containing a vital message, carefully constructed and brilliantly performed. Outstanding” UK Fringe Review,

BRIGHTON & HOVE NEWS

“‘Super Connected’ is a mammoth triumph, a project that Tim and his cohorts have dedicated many years of their life to, through his immaculate songwriting and Kate Alderton’s superlative artistic stage direction. A reformation of the art of album-crafting”

SIX LOCAL LIVE ALBUMS

Tim and music producer Jim Warren (Radiohead, Arcade Fire) recorded each show of the tour, creating a unique album from each performance. These six albums, part of the ‘Local Live Albums Series’ of Super Connected, will be gifted to the audiences who attended the shows. Inspired by Tim’s belief that the value of recorded music has diminished in today’s digital age, he wanted s to restore a personal connection by offering a tangible memento of a shared experience. Inspired by Bill Drummond’s view that “all recorded music has run its course” and should now celebrate time, place, and occasion rather than being “trapped in the device in your pocket”, The Tim Arnold Company emphasises the unique value of live performances. A microphone was set up during the “Screenless Socials” after each show to record audience reflections, which have been mixed and produced into a special track called ‘Unplug To Connect’ by Brighton based band Screenless Socials.  The track is included at the end of each live album.
